White Wine Clam Sauce with Pasta

Nom Noms! Aaron made this for the first time a few years ago and now it's one of those random delicious dishes that we have every so often.

Now I know that I usually take pronominal photos and I swear that I did take an awesome ingredient shot.......however, I did not remember to put an SD card in the camera (thanks for noticing sweety!) Sooooo we threw together a quick shot.

Awesome taste. Just the right amount of tartness from the wine and just enough tanginess (<sooo not a word) from the cheese. Enjoy!

~ Ingredients ~

  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (not pictured)
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 can of clams (with juice)
  • 1 cup wine (you can adjust this for your own tastes)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • enough pasta for about 3-4 portions.

~ Directions ~

First things first, melt your butter into a skillet over med-high heat. Add in your onion and garlic and saute for about 5 minutes.

Add in the can of clams, parsley, and oregano.

Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.

P.S. While this is cooking...start the water for your pasta (details details!)

Add in your wine and cream. If the constancy is too runny for you, add a bit of the flour and stir in until it's as thick as you want.

Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Pull your pasta outta the water and either put it on the plate and add the sauce OR mix it into the sauce.

Thank you thank you hubby for this awesome taster!!! Nom Nom!
